앰플리파이어 제조 메이커로 잘 알려진 미국 캘리포니아 주 Foresthill에 위치해 있는 Pass Labs사가 개발한 헤드폰 앰플리파이어 모델 HPA-1시스템.
사진에서 보여 주고 있듯이 전면 패널에 라운드 타입의 대형 볼륨은 푸시 버튼 식으로 입력을 선택하거나 프리앰플리 파이어의 출력단자로 사용하게 되어 있다.
제품의 설계 방식은 클라스 A급 증폭(designed as a pure class A power amp)방식이며 모델 HPA-1시스템의 설계 특징은 전원의 중요성이 간과되어있다.
즉 커스텀 제작의 완전 방자식 저소음 토로이달 파워트랜스포머(custom low-noise shielded toroidal power transformer)를 탑재해 놓았다.

시스템의 증폭 회로는 J-FET 입력단과 바이어스 직결 MOS-FET의 출력단을 이용한 낮은 피드백 광대역 정교한 디자인 방식. 15내지 600Ω 로드를 드라이브 특히 평면 디자인에 뛰어난 스테레오 프리앰플리파이어.
전면 패널에는 싱글 고품질 헤드폰 잭이 부착되어 있으며 2계통의 RCA 입력단자와 스위치 시켜 줄 수 있는 1계통 프리아웃 단자가 제품 뒷면에 준비되어 있다, 동사 발표에 따르면 이 재품의 판매 가격은 $3'500로 되어있다.
