It has 12 band controls per channel where many of it's contemporaries

(including the ADC) were only 10, with bands ranging from 16hz to 32khz per

side.    Each individual slider is lighted with an LED in the centre, making it a very

attractive Equalizer when lit up at night.   


The SG9800 also includes an overload indicator, power on light, power on pushbutton,

EQ on, record, and off selector swtches, and a Tape Monitor switch on the front. 

 The rear of the unit has a diagram showing the different hookup arrangements,

the RCA Jacks for EQ in & out, plus Tape Record in & out.


One of the more important things about this SG-9800 is that it has an incredible 92db

Signal-To-Noise ratio, which is important in an item such as this as a lower s/n would

introduce noise onto the signal.    It also features a very low .02% THD (Total Harmonic

Distorion) at maximum output
